Need a pci to IEEE 1394 card for SR-2 Classified

Thread Starter
To make the story short I was building a high budget high performance build for a friend. He wanted to run dual Xeon's on an Evga board. So I picked out the SR-2 for him. The only problem is, is that he is going to be using it to edit videos on. He states he needs a firewire port. I know that you can get pci to IEEE 1394 cards but the SR-2 only support PCI-E x16 to my knowledge and I was wondering if I could get some advice on what card to get for it. The sooner the better because he is ordering today.

so this card should work
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815103103

just the card will be running at pci bandwith not pci express 2.0 x16 bandwith

you could even get this card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815150151

you just have to make sire to fit it in the slot right, all card in theory should fit on the evga sr-2

99% sure the SR-2 has a fire wire header on the board that is to be used with one of those back panel fire wire brackets.
