Final price - $1803.80

I already have my own speakers and a hard drive. As well as a keyboard and mouse and wires.

My budget is $1800 and I'm trying to make something that won't require any upgrades for a long time except the ram and the graphics card. This is my first time so if you could look it over for me that'd be swell.

I have concerns and questions.

I'm using a 40" LCD TV at 1920 by 1080 as my main screen and I'm wondering if this rig is too much for that low resolution. I have no plans for multiple monitors or Eyefinity. I want something that can play all the latest games at top or near top settings. The big 1000 PSU if for the Crossfire later on and for overall stability.

I am concerned about the Dominator ram. I heard expansion can be a problem for them cause of lack of room or something (something to do with the heat spreaders?). I was looking at A-Data as well.

Also, I'm not sure abut the graphics card. I plan on Crossfiring the 2GB HD6950 later on. But I heard for 1080p the HD6970 or the GTX570 was the better choice. Also, there are so band differnt brand names I didn't know which one to go with. Some help?

I plan on overclocking when need be, thus the CPU cooler and the big rig with all the fans. Will later add watercooling if need be.

So is this too much or just right? Thank you.
$60 for a fan controller? wow... spend the money on upgrading the H50 for a D-14 or something beadtly

i know im going to get called a fan boy and what ever...
but you don't need 6cores for gaming. you will be better off buying an i5 2500K or an i7 2600K. its better to have fewer faster cores than many slower cores when it comes to gaming

and the graphics card you have chosen is great

might want to change the case, most first time builder chose antec and im not sure why look at silverstones cases

Go with something like this
INTEL ( i would say amd but in all seroiusness intel is dominating and sandybridge will last you a very very long time)

Intel 2500K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072

GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4-B3 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128478

N570GTX TwinFrozr II MSI - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127564

thats the base i would work from

if you have a lot of fans that controller ya is cool and all but you could get something a little cheaper that will do that same thing( led display is a cool touch but in all seroiusness will you be using it alot or will it be show?)

Psu is good specially if your going to cross fire

F3 samsung bought one for my pops and he said it made his system back to what it was before (including new ram - he has amd anthlon series forget which model specific)

let me know what you think on the 570 there apparently really good cards....
but amd yes is also good choice

save some cash and get a 1090t instead of the 1100.
it is only a 100mhz downclock but can be easily oc to the same speed or more. the 100 has no oc advantage over the 90

and if you plan on sticking with the df-85 case dont bother with a fan controller, the case has its own, unless you plan on changing the fans.

I have a spinpoint and a c300 and its a good combo but imo i wouldnt buy the c300 as faster ssd's are just about to be released (new crucial m4 and ocz vertex 3)
