AMD X6 2.8 GHz

Gigabyte Motherboard

Asus HDMI Monitor

1TB Seagate Internal HD

DVD Burner

8GB Ram Ripjaw

750 Powersupply

Hello overclock.net users! I know you must be bored of all the noobies trying to build their computers, but we need it! I've listed my ideas for my new build and am very excited for this. I just want to make sure everything "works" and definitely any ideas for cheaper products, items, or just better deals. I was also wondering if tigerdirect or newegg would be better? I have found different prices, and of course I want to purchase the cheaper one. Well, thanks overclockers!

You'd be much better off going with a Sandy Bridge i5 build for a similar price.
Also, you'll need a graphics card to go along with your system, correct?

I would highly recommend a GTX 560ti or an HD 6950 2GB.

A GTX 460 1GB is a cheaper alternative for a video card than the ones listed above. You could also go with a 2x2GB kit for less cost, as not many people actually need 8GB of RAM.

I also recommend swapping the Seagate for an Samsung F3

And the power supply is meh for the price. Try out this combo for an F3 and an Antec 750W.

Here's a combo deal for your X6 1055T and a 6870, too.

You won't be able to overclock at all to 4Ghz if you pair the 1055T with generic 1333Mhz RAM, it will hold back your bus clock OC!
Get a 1600Mhz kit, there are 1600Mhz kits out there for the same price

That HDD is also waaaaaaaaay overpriced;

would be cheaper & faster. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.627707 and you have a great deal.

If you can, go with a 1100T 3.3Ghz. It costs about $50 more but If you buy this Powersupply you can save $20 and put it torward the better CPU.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-913-_-Product

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...osewill%20750W

You also didnt list a Graphics card. I sugest a 6950.

will nice CPU i have the same 1055t but be careful there are two different versions of 1055T processor
HDT55TWFK6DGR with 95 Watt
HDT55TFBK6DGR with 125 Watt

not only the 95w consumes less but has max temp of 72c while 125w has 62c (will come in handy in over-clocking)

frankly i dont know about the rest
but what are choosing for Graphics?

Welcome to OCN!

We'd like to know what you plan on using the PC for so we can give you good recommendations on your components. From some of the things I can see, though, I'd make one recommendation: you should change the Seagate HDD for a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB. It's more reliable, runs cooler, makes less noise, and is a decent amount faster. It's $5 cheaper, too.

I don't believe 95W 1055Ts are sold anywhere at the moment

Yeah, they're OEM only. There's a 1065T 95W, too.

Thank you for the many replies and responses, keep 'em coming.

I am planning on gaming with this build and I have planned for "upscale" for later gaming developments, although not spectacularly interested in 3D gaming, yet. I will think about the Patriot 8GB ram, or just a 2x2GB ram. True you really don't need 8 GB, yet .

As to the Graphics Cards, I did half forget on it. The Motherboard as an "ATI Radeon HD 4250" I have had suggestions of the 6000 series from ATI Radeon HD. I believe I've just been looking at the sapphire something or other graphics card. I honestly do not understand graphics cards.

My price range is quite limited. I'm trying to keep it under $1000. To go into more detail on what games I currently play: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Double Agent, Chaos Theory (just got a great deal on these games via steampowered for $30), Dirt 2 (Planning on getting Dirt 3 when it comes to PC), and I may delve back into World of Warcraft, small chance though.

Speaker suggestions? Been looking at these cheap ones, but right now just trying to keep my overall price low and still be able to game, make youtube videos, and whatever. Sort of, the main essentials. Oh, I already have a case at my house a broadway com.

And I still have more to write, sort of another conversation but, oh well.
The combo deals seem pretty nice from newegg. Sort of saving price but buying the same equipment, sort of. Also, the best buy "deals" buying a whole computer for cheaper, sort of, and just rebuilding it. I might post another topic on that, but thanks for all of the many suggestions!
