Q9550 Question

Thread Starter
This is kind of a weird question and it confuses me, so hopefully someone has ran into this issue.

When I do prime95 stress test on smallFFt I hear a small, kind of screeching noise? I don't know what it is but it never use to do that, and it kind of sounds like its coming from around my CPU?

Now when I do a prime95 test on blend I don't get the same thing...

Anyone have any clue what this could be?
could be a resistor making the noise, not sure though.

Probably capacitors or coils on mobo/PSU is making a noise..

Nothing to worry about..

CHEERS..

It is perfectly normal. It is the coils for the CPU VRM's making that sound when under load. Reason small FFT's are producing the squeling is that it loads the CPU more then Blend, and putting more preassure on the coils.
