IBT/LinX Error after complete

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I just clocked my 920 to 4.2GHz. Everytime I run IBT or Linx (max memory, full threads) it finishes all the runs and then tells me my system is unstable. Any suggestions?

Bios volts
21x200
Mem multi - 8
Uncore - 16
-Vcore: 1.256
-QPI/VTT: 1.2
-DRAM 1.64 (9-9-9-24)

For further clarification, this happens after 1, 5, 20, and 50 runs.

Just a shot in the dark.
Is your ram volts spec 1.64 or 1.65?
If 1.65 set to that.

Raise qpi/vtt voltage a bump, you have a lot of room there.

Raising my QPI causes it to crash after 15 or so runs. In my bios I can set the ram voltage to 1.64 or 1.66.

What is the error message?
I had it a few times that IBT didn`t crash or BSODed but the last value in the "Result"
tab was wrong. If this value is wrong IBT says that the system is unstable (iirc linx does that too). For me it was an indicator that i had to fix something in the BIOS. Although not so obvious like BSOD the system should be considered as unstable.

Does IBT indicate failure on completion of the run or during the run? I find it unusual to go all the way through and fail the last test...

You could try and raise your Vcore, since raising you QPI crashs out your system.

It indicates that when the result is shown in the tab (At the same time- the window with th error overlayed on the program). This never happend "while" testing - it was allways the last result (from the last run) which did that.
Sorry shoul have wrote this in the first post: This happend to me only after playing around with the RAM timing/subtimings. Maybe this is a lead to where the problem is.
Good Luck!

Yeah, its a calculation error, guess I'm going to have to go play around, I'll post back with some results.

EDIT: Alright, I've screwed around with some stuff and now I've got LinX running for 25 passes, going to go cycling for a bit and see where I'm at. +reps.

That ride was brutal. Anyways, raising the volts a step solved the problem and only put me up 1C. Thanks guys!
