what is the best micro atx amd board that u can possible buy for am3? My friend is looking to upgrade his gateway pc as his current mobo doesnt support his 965 he just bought

gigabyte 880gma-ud2h...its a great board with 140w cpu support. if your going to overclock, just add to heatsinks to the board.

Just make sure your motherboard fits in the right way. I remember a long time ago (4 months) I was going to upgrade my gateway pc and I figured all cases were built the same...lol little did I know they are not and the case was backwards and my motherboard wouldn't fit unless I had it upside down. So then I ended up buying a new case.

yep i had a gateway that was btx too if thats the case ull never find a mobo i had to buy a new case

neway i have a 965 black and i have a matx gigabyte board thats am2+ does he have ddr2 or ddr3 if he has ddr2 u need a am2+ mobo

if he has ddr3 u need am3 unless of course he wants to buy ddr3 too it depends on ur ram

but gigabyte is great and reasonably priced i dunno bout biostar never had one so dont wana trash them but i have herd bad things bout them
