AMD PhenomII X6 1100T BE OC UPDATED! Finally 4.1 - Page 7

Hey buddy, B-roll you da man, bro!

I've read every single word from beginning to now and am captivated! I have the x6 1100t BE as well and tried to get it to 4Ghz but failed... so reading this makes me feel great! I have liquid cooling already: Corsair H70 and need to up my cpu because Dragon age II kinda stalls on some cinematic scenes while at the highest settings. My Video card is the ATI HD6970 series and i bought the Asus overclocked edition of it, so i know it isn't my beloved VC.

Please leave a post regarding all the changes you've made in you Bios. I will mimc the procedure on my Asus M4A88TD-V evo board. Please my friend, post all changes to frequency and voltages, also what you disabled (C&Q) or Turbo mode.

Thanks!!!! to everyone on this thread!

Awesome, I wish you luck. Here are the pictures of all the BIOS settings I changed.

For voltages, I only changed 3. The CPU Voltage Control, CPU NB Vid and NB Voltage

I left CNQ on but disabled the CPB (Turbo).

Hope some of this helps. Good luck!

Alsooooo the Thubans have a problem with the temps reading on the cpu.

I think you add 10c to your current temps and thats the "real" reading.
If overclocking from the CPU Clock/HTT/FSB(only applies to INTEL) you need to apply more voltage to the NBv.

Keep the HT and the CPU/NB at as close to stock as you can for stability sake. Then work your CPU when you know that the CPU and the HTT/CPU Clock(NB) are stable then increase your RAM and CPU/NB one at a time not necessarily in that order.

I have the NB at 2800Mhz,should NB voltage be bumped up to 1.320V?
It's currently @ 1.300V.

I did it because Prime95 kept giving me errors at 1.3. It may help but I also have my NB at 2500 because after 2600, it wouldn't post.

Thanks man, you should remove the image though because it's got your serial number on it.. someone could report it as being overclocked and then you would be refused waranty.

Yours is 3 weeks newer than mine then, I read aswell that the last 4 digits of the serial number indicate where on the wafer your chip came from. The lower the number, the nearer the centre of the wafer your chip is from, and the centre is supposed to be better than the edge.

My number is 149 and yours is 2! So if that's true it bodes well for you

Any suggestions on how I should go further?

I tried upping the multi and it didn't get past Starting Windows. I've got 17*250 right now.

I upped the CPU and CPU/NB voltage a bit. I am booted up but Prime95 crashes. I don't wanna put my voltage past 1.5.

Any suggestions?

Since your underwater now 1.5 wouldn't be an issue.

1.55 is the highest safe volts for air/water cooling.

16*260 keep upping the FSB.

I'm on 200x19 and cool n quiet doesn't work, but i just use the program phenom msr tweaker and that lets me set a custom cool n quiet even on multipliers that cooln quiet on the bios stops working. Everything is auto, no need to apply everytime, lovin it!
