I've been looping Vantage at maximum settings and so far, no crashes. Now I'm even more puzzled. I'm going to try more DX10 and Dx11-based benchmarks to see if I can isolate it down to the version of DirectX being used, now that I am using the latest WHQLs.
I had issues kind of like this once before with SLIed 9800GTX+s that turned out to be mostly very driver-specific.
Looks like another one of those really driver-specific issues to me.
EDIT: Unigine Tropics 1.3 caused a driver crash on DX11 mode, no AA.
Gonna try Heaven and force it to DX10 mode and see if I can reproduce the effect.
EDIT 2: It definitely seems to be DX11-specific. I let Heaven's image preview thingy cycle through the benches and it caused a driver crash/recovery in DX11 mode. I've been letting the DX10 mode just cycle over and over and over for ages now, no crash in sight. I'm going to let it go a half hour longer just to be sure, but I pretty much believe whatever issue there is must be DX11-related.
EDIT 3: Nope, it crashed out in DX10 mode too.
Barring putting this thing into a different computer, I'm going to conclude that this card has problems in some manner I cannot completely isolate and ask for a complete checkout by eVGA.
Thanks all for the suggestions and comments. Take some rep.Edited by Quantum Reality - 4/18/11 at 4:35pm
