Just finished up my 2500k overclocking!

Looks like I have reached the max stable of my chip.

4.7ghz with 1.42 voltage

Im working on lowering my voltage to. I have managed to get my chip to boot at 5ghz but it was highly unstable and BSODed very quickly. Idles 25-30 Max temp of 73 after a few hours of Prime95.

So what do you guys think?

Edit: Coming up on about half an hour of Prime95 at 1.4 voltage seems pretty stable

Edit: Seems stable at 1.4

Edit: Now at 1.38, lowered PLL

Looks pretty good, so far. I just ran 20 passes of IBT (new LinPack) @ 4.5ghz w/1.344v and temps maxing out at 75ºC...Keep in mind, I'm on air too. I'm gonna lower my Vcore by .010 until it becomes unstable and then I'm gonna leave it.

Nice voltage! Not to good on the temp though

Yeah, not too shabby, Batch # is L052A775 and I can't find anyone else that has this same batch.

Title is misleading. Sounds like you are far from finished =)

A decent 2500K should do 4.7GHz on 1.3-1.35V. I would say 1.375V max on all but the worst chips.

Just wait 'til you learn lowering CPU PLL voltage from 1.8 to 1.75-1.77 allows you to lower VCC even more. Then it's like starting over again =)

In my experience, IBT can creates temps that are 10C (or more) higher than Prime95 blend. So, if he's getting 75C with IBT I'd say that is not bad at all.

Forget the OC, that avatar is SMOKIN HOT!

Also, download the New IBT LinPack..your GFlops will double and temps will rise by 10-15ºC...check out the "i5 2500k OC Temps" Thread
