That should be fine. 2 9800s is more than adequate, according to the 3D Vision specs.

This will depend on the games. Should be just fine. A Quad @ 3Ghz can feed your GPU's just fine though.

Hi sun_akaffck. As the others have said you should try the setup to see if you have any problems. It doesn't look as though you will going off what you have given us though.

maybe a list of games you plan to play, depending on some , you may hit a cpu wall, other games may be a gpu wall, or worse case is both,

don't expect to play metro 2033 with 1920x1080@120hz in 3d

that being said, good luck

this, trying to drive 120fps @ 1920x1080 is going to be tough task even for 9800 SLi

but try out and test it out

It'll definitely work, but there's going to be games that you won't be able to max out, even at your relatively low resolution of 1280x1024 (that's the 19" monitor res, correct?) ... on the toughest titles like Metro, Just Cause 2, Mafia 2, Crysis, etc ... you are going to have to make some compromises to image quality to get consistently playable fps.

Probably whatever settings you could successfully run on a single 9800GTX is roughly what you'll be able to run now w/two of them in SLI, running 3d.
