Has happened to me before, just a corrupted install most likely, try again from scratch if still not working go to motherboard/pc manafacturers site and download sound and network drivers for your perticular make/model,you will have to use another pc if you cant access internet but i doubt your need to do this.

By the way you will need to reinstall your graphics card drivers most possibly and maybe soundcard too.but see how reinstall goes first.

You're just missing your audio drivers. Easy download from the internet...which is kind of a catch-22 without a second box. Your connection problem could be a number of things - more information would be needed to start addressing it.

Drivers. If it's a custom build, go to the MOBO manufacturer site. If it's OEM, go to manufacturers site. Dell is easy because you can put in the service tag.

The problem is your drivers simply.

If you can give the model of your motherboard, wireless card/usb adapter, sound card (whichever is relevant) we can see if we can get them for you.
