It would also be nice if there was a list somewhere telling me roughly which heatsinks were compatible.
I just made do, I searched all of overclock.net for the words "Dragon Rider", and went through about 5 pages of Google results. What I ended up with was the knowledge of what Overclock.netters that have the case are using. It seems the Corsair H50 is amongst the most popular for people using this case. I guess going by "off the top of my head" standpoints, the H70 is better than the H50?

Don't go by newegg's best ratings, the Zalman's are up top, but they're quite a few generations old, meaning they've had more time to accumulate better votes. They could barely cool your cpu sufficiently enough.

If you're considering the H50, go for the Antec Kuhler H20 620 instead, it's in between the price range of the H50 and H70, but performs better than the H70 and really close to the H70.

You could always look at other cases with similar dimensions to get a rough estimate of whether or not a taller heatsink would force you to be without side panel fans. I personally wouldn't worry about not having a fan on the side if you set up the airflow properly on the whole.

Well I do like the large 220mm fan. I'd like to keep it if possible. I think I read somewhere that if the panel was offset just another 10mm, a tall 160mm cooler would work. To me, that means anything less than 150mm should work. I've found the Noctua D14, and if it would fit my "stock case", I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Does anyone know if it will fit the Dragon Rider? If not, after I complete my build, I'll take a look and try to measure.

I found the following Noctua on Newegg, it appears to be a bit smaller:

Ok, so I have decided to do this the right way; I have determined that a 160mm tall tower heatsink can fit in my case if I remove the 22cm fan. I hate to do this because the large fan was one of the many reasons I purchased this case. However, I will just replace the large fan with a few smaller ones that hopefully will fit around the Silver Arrow I plan on purchasing. So my last question:

For my 2600k, is the Silver Arrow my best bet?

For the 2600k you don't need a SA . . . unless you are going to play at 5GHz. Those chips can really soak up the Volts.

If your case has a 120mm fan in the back it will fit a 160mm full tower heatsink. But not with a big fan overlapping. I don't know why casemakers do that, but there it is.

Got the same case. Stay away from air cooling to keep you side fan. Either go H70 or Rasa 750 RX240

I know this is an old thread but just to let you guys know. You can move the side fan by shifting it to the left slightly and rotating it about 45 degrees. You finish up using some of the other screw holes designed for the smaller fans. It works a treat.
Incase anyone was thinking they had to ditch the large fan if they wanted the taller heat sinks.
