Xonar DX in PCI Slot?

I read that I can use the XONAR DX on the PCI slot instead of a 1x PCI-E. If so, will it still require the floppy power connector?

You can't do this because the pin alignments are different for each bus type. However, you can use the DX in a longer PCI-E slot like a x4, x8, or x16.

oh yeah that's what I meant PCI-E slot, will it still need the floppy power cord?

Yes it will. The sound card will not function without the extra power connect.
