sapphire vs asus vs gigabyte vs msi vs xfx for 6xxx - Page 3

I'm new to building so I didnt know xfx sucks the parts are good I have 6990 and OC fine but when contacted their customer support I knew I made a mistake because I sent them an email a week ago and yet to recive a response.
The double lifetime warrenty means that if you decide to sell it the so called warrenty transferrs to them lol

If you sell your card, the 2nd owner can register it to him for the same lifetime warranty.

I agree 100%. Also, I haven't tried a Sapphire since I had my 4870, but the Toxic cooler it shipped with was one of the best on the market, including aftermarket. It was a bit loud at full tilt, but my temps weren't much warmer than a WC rig.

Edit: I also highly recommend the Windforce coolers on Gigabyte cards. On the Nvidia side, the Windforce 3x is one of the few with sufficient VRM cooling, which is a huge issue for 570's. The AMD version is the same...cools all the critical parts, it's quiet, and it looks pretty good compared to the standard fan+brick most cards carry.

In my personal experience with xfx, I would say they are an excellent company. I'm loving my 6870 card from them. RMA from them is also simple enough to understand if you are not a moron tongue.gif

Indeed, I got these windforce cards in a trade for a GTX 570 and I'm loving them thumb.gif

xfx tend to use cheap poor quality PCB. powercolor and HIS are pritty good. they give the most stuff and sometimes a free game

I love me some Sapphire, MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, and Powercolor.

I've dealt with Gigabyte customer service the most (dealing with motherboards), and they have always fixed the problem. Having an office in the USA helps much.

Which 6800 card are you looking at? A lot of them use the same coolers with a slightly different shroud. Only a couple have a unique PCB. Personally I think the upcoming Powercolor Silent 6850 looks awesome.
