Decisions on a budget SSD - Page 2

I have/had a c300 on the downside it lasted about 2 months and then died, on the plus side they have been really good with the whole rma thing, sent it to crucial Friday will have my new drive tomorrow, so cant argue with that to be honest

Is very fast but all ssd's are dont know enough to say definitively but from the research i did when i was buying the c300 came out the winner.

C300 is the easy winner out of the 3 original choices you posted..great drive and prices are reasonable now that third gen SSDs are out

I guess I'll be doing a full backup tonight

"These are the only ones in my price range"

"Get a more expensive one"

"I don't want a 40GB one"

"This 40GB one is good"

I have no real suggestions, but I am in the same boat as the Barista, so I am subscribing.

I personally use a Vertex 2E 60GB (I don't know what the difference between 2 and 2E is) but I only got it because it was very cheaper than the C300. It is very fast too, but the C300's price has come down, so if I were to buy an SSD now, I would get the 64GB C300.

Went for the C300
Thanks all, feel free to suggest other stuff for Mr Wigsy

I've heard that the C300 is a great drive, and of course better if you have SATA 6Gb/s to fully utilise it.

Nice choice.
