un-realisticly bad performance from 5770?

Thread Starter
and by un realisticly bad, i mean an erratic fluctuating 19fps with no aa low texture settings at 1600x900 in black ops and an average of like 40fps in League of Legends.

my graphics were fine before i stuck in an ssd and windows 7 64 bit.

i have a couple of theories.

1) all my programs are on my old hdd not my main ssd.

2) maybe some 64 bit problems with the 5770 software

3) static shock from re-installation of 5770

4) someone hates me and wants to torment me with small annoying inconveniences

or...... some problems with 64 bit for gaming.

all help appreciated.

There is no problem with 64bit... So yeah, scratch that.

My programs are on a secondary harddrive, among thousands of others who have an SSD.

It sounds like a driver problem or your crappy PSU.

What graphics card did you have before?

Also it looks to me your PSU is crap and cannot even handle the 5770.

UPGRADE TIME! Get the TX650 V2 because it has awesome price/performance and is really good quality. Wanna spend more for a killer PSU? Grab the X650 from SeaSonic

i would have thought that if a psu was insufficient it would simply burst a fuse not deprive the computer of power.

also my drivers are completely up to date

-and, i have had the same graphics card the whole time.

Do you have a link to the most up-to-date 11.4 driver comparison between a 5770 and 4890? (Or something like that)?

+reps for a link or something
