You don't have to be rich to upgrade your PC. Such nonsense. My current parts help pay for future parts. You think people who upgrade often throw their parts in the trash? We list them on the forums, eBay and CL to generate cash for a new build. Also, some games are more demanding than others and require more HP to increase FPS. People like myself who play games with maxed settings will always need a new card to stay above a desired FPS. The majority of people who upgrade their video cards often, they want to increase their FPS, not for better visuals.

Instead of holding onto to outdated PC parts for years that will be worth much less than what it originally cost and hard to resell, I sell PC parts that has been out for less than a year. I still mange to get 60-70% of the cost back to pay for the new part. PC upgrading can be very affordable if you buy parts that are highly desirable by others to resell and/or finding great deals in the forums that can help you break even.

PC gaming express individually so criticizing people on what they want is silly.

So I heard recently about this cool thing called gameplay. How about we all learn to like a game for how it plays not how it looks. Look at Starcraft for goodness' sake, 1998, was predicted to be a terrible game, came out as one of the best of all time. Graphics? LOL moving pictures. If a game has excellent gameplay, I will play it regardless of grahpics (Minecraft with stock textures)

Well that's just great. Aside from the fact that no consumer grade setup can run modern games at that resolution properly.

Actually, when I game, I have
1) people reenact the game
2) a director film it in 35mm film
3) techies put in CGI effects for stuff not possible in real life
4) an orchestra make the soundtrack
5) play it all back in an IMAX Theatre

All In Real Time.
