I do not recommend that motherboard for ANY 125W processor operation. It must be changed. At least a quality 4+1 phase would be very important even with no OC. I've seen this particular MSI mobo take the blow at 125W quad cores at stock. It uses the lowest of the low in terms of VRM design, is unheatsinked, and there is no OCP protection. I would take
(even though the VRMs aren't that good here either, but they should be fine with no OC) over that. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131672 would also be a great choice as ASUS has quality 4+1 and OCP protection, for the same $70 price.
Also the RAM choice.... requires 1.5-1.65V for 1333 CL9 generic? Anything higher than 1.5V and it's fish food. Get something different. Something like this
Try this hard drive
. Counting free shipping, it should be cheaper than TigerDirect. Seagate's regular 7200RPMs are usually faster than WD's blues.Edited by xd_1771 - 4/19/11 at 8:09am
