the samsung f3 is same performance as WD Caviar Black and cheaper
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-185-_-Product
Sandy Bridge mobo/cpu - if you overclock the higher clock speed will benefit more than the AMD 6 core.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131705 - $155
+
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072 - $225

should be able to overclock anywhere from 4.5- 5 Ghz on a good air cooler (The Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is a good choice as previously stated)

There is no slim version of Windows 7 sold by Microsoft. There is no free version of Windows 7 either.

Everyone thanks so much. Powertrip I could easily upgrade my mobo and CPU with that setup right? I am looking toward the future when I have a little extra cash.

It's a budget system that will do what you want: SCII at max settings if you OC your CPU with this cooler which is similar in performace to the Hyper 212+ but much cheaper:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233082

I'm pretty sure it will also play BF3 at decent settings as well if you OC to about 3.6GHz on the CPU and you unlock the 6950. The Mobo is CrossFire capable if need be.

The first 890FX AM3+ board is now available.I would grab that for the best future-proof system. Also great deal on 8GB of Corsair RAM right now.
