HTC EVO 4G modding, rooting, and custom roms guide! - Page 5

This is a good guide for Froyo, basically same one you have, note that it says to stop and use another guide if you are on Gingerbread.

Here is the Gingerbread edition.

Yes, because you are on Gingerbread.

This should be locked until the OP can update this guide. OP, you could possibly be bricking peoples phones.

Follow my second link above.

It's funny that the OP wanted to argue about it 4-5 posts up. There's your proof buddy.

I apologize for being rude, maybe next time someone offers you some help, you should receive it better or research what you are trying to do better rather than argue with them about it.

Thread re-opened. killeraxemannic fixed the OP to show that this procedure is to be used with Froyo first (I think?). Blah, re-read the OP if you have questions.

I have an evo.. sitting right in front of me actually too.. great phone. I loaded Smooth and Sexy ROM, Its alright but lacking some small things that drive me crazy- for example you cant change the wifi device name. AND 5 icon app drawer or whatever its called does NOT work.

I am looking at CM7 but really hoping for CM9 Soon.

From reports I have read if you use a non sense based ROM sometimes the phone will not wake when power button is pressed.. IF that is true can someone confirm that indeed running CM7 could make you have to press the power button 10+ times before the phone wakes up..??

I really am fond of me EVO 4G and am quite SAD that the other models "newer" have smaller screens.. WHY? why would you do that HTC.. this will likely be the last EVO I get. -Oh and I had the option to buy a evo3D.. lets just say it did NOT impress me at all.
