Would my system benefit from a new graphicscard?

Hi,

I want to have more performance in games, so I want to know if a new graphics card would help.

I now have 2 8800gt 512mb in sli and my processor is an e6750 @ 3.04ghz.
I have 4gb ddr2 800mhz ram.

So I was looking at the gtx 560 ti OC from gigabyte and was wondering if it would help if im buying that, because I heard something about bottleneck cpu.

If it's not a huge increase I can live with that, because im gonna get new pc late 2011 begin 2012 and put the gtx 560 in there as long as it works good.

Hope you can help me

No. Just build a new computer.

8800GT SLI is close to the performance of a GTX280

Look at this comparison between a GTX 285 and GTX 560
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/317?vs=330

You should be getting at least 30% performance increase if you upgrade.
It shouldnt be that much of a bottleneck if your cpu is at 3.0 ghz

I don't think you'll be bottlenecking just quite yet, but it's definitely getting close. If you'll be using the card in a later rig and can afford it, a 570 would be a worthy step up. Or even look into going red with a 6950. Better performance than a 560 for a little less cash.

A few weeks ago I installed a hd 5770, but then the system acted a little weird. My highest herz was 60 and at startup the cd starts to spin wierd and wouldnt start so unplugged that. Maybe its because I have motherboard P5N32-E SLI and it has the nvidia chip 680i. So I think this board works better with nvidia cards.

For the same amount of money you can buy 2 GTX 460 cards and double the FPS of your current setup. You might want to oc your cpu a bit too.
