I bought additional 2x2GB of Kingmax FLFE85F ram, when started CPU-z I found
unpleasent surprise. Yes ram is working in dual channel but is of different brand. Its Crucial and some things are different:

me should I return this back to the store (carrying a big brick in my pocket), or sould I keep them?

From what I can see, they look like they have the same specs so its up to you if you want to take it back and get Kingmax. Basically they are the same exact sticks, run at the same speed etc but just a different brand. I probably would take them back because I would want the same brand memory and not 2 different brands for my system.

Did it not have the brand on the box and on the sticks themselves?

Thanks for the quick response, the packaging was Kingmax so I thought it was some kind of market acrobatics.

If the package was Kingmax then i wouldn't blame the store. They couldn't have known what was in it without opening the box.

The fault is with the manufacturer. You should still be able to return it to the store, but you're gonna have to prove that it's actually Crucial.

Im betting they are re-branded DIMM's. Crucial More than likely binned them and then Kingmax bought redistributed them.

I was thinking the samething or Crucial owns Kingmax or Kingmax owns Crucial.

Agree, Crucial supplied Kingmax modules for ones they didn't manufacture. Happens all the time, nothing to worry about.

Yes people at the store are not to be blamed, everything on the package and chips was
Kingmax but CPU-z and AIDA 64 says its Crucial.
