First WC Build - Looking for Advice - Page 3

The Thermochill was indeed the rad king for a while, but it's my understanding that they fell off due to not being to supply enough units to meet demand. They were very hard to come by a year or two back. Looks like the ta's are the new series, but I haven't read any reviews on them. At any rate, the RX360 will give you plenty of headroom to cool everything you need now + down the road for a very agreeable price. I have my i5 750 @ 4GHz and (before I traded it) my 5870 on a puny little Swiftech MCR320, and it give me all the cooling I need. OCN tends to overdo rad area.

As far as a good card, you can get a new 6870 or gtx 560 in your budget. Or you could try to find a good used on in the For Sale section. I saw a few gtx 470's for sale when I checked earlier. You could try to snag one of those, a 560 Ti, or maybe even a 6950 if you're willing to go a little over $200. 6950 would easily be the best bang for your buck out of all those. Shipping to Canada might kill you, but you could still come out better buying used I would think.

Also, don't know if you decided on a CPU block yet, but the XSPC Rasa is a very solid performer for an awesome price.

Hey champyg, nice to see you again

My setup includes a Koolance CPU-370. The reviews and testing on it seem to me to be really good.

I am seriously considering the 6950 2GB. it's a bit more then I wanted to spend since I don't really need it, just want it

I plan on using directcanada.com. The shipping is free and the prices are nice.

This is what I do for all of my builds for draining.

My pumps are at the lowest spot possible and so is my drain. Just my 2 cents.
