I've overclocked nothing.
I've reinstalled my ATI drivers several times after uninstalling them with a driver removal software.

Nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm using an HD 5850. It should at least be able to stream 720p without the display drivers crashing all the time. I don't recall having this problem with earlier ATI drivers.

However, using older ATI drivers would cripple my Eyefinity performance.

Had almost exactly the same issue with my 5850. But in my case, DVD / BD playback was causing drivers to restarts. ...5, 10, 15 times in a row, sometimes with < 1 min intervals. Spent 3 long weeks troubleshooting, tried everything, but nothing worked. ...RMAed, got refurbished unit, drivers don't restart anymore... But now the replacement card randomly locks up at 99% activity...

New Asus GTX580 DCII will arrive tomorrow!!!

P.S. HD5850 for cheap anyone?

I had this problem a while back, for me at least, the problem was due to the CCC anti aliasing with the last few driver sets, anything past 8x is causing trouble, eg: black squares, driver failure. and random artifacts on certain apps.
