[Engadget]Apple sues Samsung for 'copying' the iPhone and iPad - Page 15

I'm saying one model line (it's the same hardware sans cameras and a keyboard in one case) is outselling another. And really, the iPhone4 is a weaker Galaxy S (hardware wise) with a higher resolution display. I wouldn't call it better outright because the AMOLED screens are beautiful.

Apple's mad, suing to try to protect patents.

I personally don't care for the way iOS or Touchwiz look, so.....yeah, have fun with the lawsuit.

I don't see why the Nexus S is included in the lawsuit. It doesn't have the look and feel of an iPhone and it doesn't use Samsung's Touchwiz (which kind of looks like iOS).

This is chump change to Apple.
I don't think people really realize how big Samsung is.

That's because Microsoft's GUI was prractically the same. Apple did take the concept from Xerox PARC (and, even gave Xerox stock for their visit). Lots of Xerox PARC employees moved to Apple to work on the GUI project as Xerox was going nowhere with theirs. Apple innovated it, and MS directly copied it. Apple had the first consumer grade computers with a GUI in 1984. When did MS have a GUI? 1987? Yeah...

I don't know what's so hard to understand about that. I know the Apple-hating fanboyism on this site is quite thick (with 99% of you never even have used an Apple product), but, please, read up on history and know what you're talking about. Otherwise the people who DO know the history will come in and call you out, like I just did. kthanx

I've grown around both systems. Mac at school, windows at home. I first experienced excel, word, and all office required software with mac; gaming with PC. Gotta say, when I started to get into the office software and eventually customization of the PC (internally with file formats to hardware), MS > OSX. OSX was slow, crummy, restrictive, and lacklustre. MS gave me the customization required to do anything...OSX never did....even today.

MS did it right and got it out sooner. By 95, the whole concept was in the bag.

Lulpathetic. I guess Infiniti/etc. should be able to sue Hyundai for their recent look-alikes. (G37 and Genesis Coupe for example)

Apple, umad Galaxy S slaughtering your iPhone sales? Mm? Umad you might not be able to bring out iPhone 5 this year?

Yea... patents... that. "Ummm hey... court? We patented how this phone looks they copy-catted us!"

Honestly if I were Samsung I'd tell Apple to go to hell and find another manufacturer. When you're a huge corporation and you collaborate with another huge corporation to produce your product which sells in millions, you don't backstab them. Oh, well, I guess Apple does.

There are several reasons I move on from a Mac to the PC Platform. Windows 7 was one of them. I think OS X is an aboslutely gorgous OS. It's very easy to navigate, find what you want. Windows 7 STILL has tons of setting tucked away in far reaches of menus.

That being said, Windows 7 is a fantastic OS (XP, not so much), and the customization of it AND the hardware are what have won me over.

I just get tired of all the trite comments from people that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. God forbid they actually admit how much of an influence Apple has been on the tech industry for the last 30 years. Then again, I guess to admit that they would have to know what they're talking about instead of adding to the Apple Troll Army.

I don't like everything Apple does, not by a long shot, but to sit and continuously keep bashing them is stupid and childish to say the least.
