MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk out on Newegg! - Page 4

So anyone actually purchased one of these bad boys?

I'm assuming it should hit 1 jiggahertz core clock[and maybe more] easily without touching the voltage.

I'll await reviews, because if this thing turns out to be a good OC'er, having them configured in SLI @ 1080p resolution would probably be a very very strong performer for years to come.

I think it just came out today. Still undecided between two of these now or a single 570 TF3 and sli later. I mean is the 1.2GB Vram that important?

Single 570 TFIII & SLI later I was thinking the same about a two 6870 TFIIIs & a single 6970 Lightning & Xfire later...Well you see what I had decided & I'm very happy about it

BTW...The extra vram will help when using higher AA+AF settings @ your resolution.

Don't hold your breath for 1000MHz on stock voltage. Not everyone can even get that high with voltage adjustments.

I just had my first incidence of running out of vram at 1920x1200 the other day (I have 470's, basically). It was with Stalker CoP running the Complete Mod. About 20 mins after starting the game, vram usage in AB would tap out around 1225MB, and the performance would nosedive from mins in the 40's to mins in the teens. Switched texture quality down one notch and the problem hasn't happened again.

Interestingly, even turning AA off completely it would still eventually happen, it just took longer. Lowering textures was the only thing that got rid of it completely.

This is, of course, DX11, everything ingame totally maxed, including the 4xAA which is the highest CoP goes.

Metro gets pretty close when maxed out, too.

I'm betting Skyrim (esp. once the modders do their thing) is going to tap 1GB out pretty easy at 1080p.

Personally I'd only do a 460 1GB card (or higher card like 560) if I was only getting one of them.

Well, only games I play, I just monitored. BlackOps, BC2 and Homefront. Homefront used the most at 750MB. lol BC2 was only like 600MB, all ingame settings on high plus 16AF and a bunch of AA. Probably 8MSAA + 8SSAA. Thats my usual. I have NEVER used more than 800MB on this card.

Hey Blacklac, do you have Crysis 1? I would like to compare my Vram usage to yours if possible.

Thanks bro!

EDIT: What Res are you playing on?

1920x1080, no I don't have Crysis 1. Sorry.
