Just a curious question, what is the price of Asus GTX560? tongue.gif

I was lucky enough to grab an Open Box GTX 560 Twin Frozr II that hit 1Ghz at 1.037v. I dont think I would spend the extra money for one of these. Maybe an Open Box deal, but I wouldnt pay retail.

I would like to see a side by side temp comparison though.

So much for the cherry picked golden samples...

Yeah the voltage thing doesnt surprise me. That happened with my MSI GTX 465s. One card had a low stock voltage, but the others were like 1.025v and didnt OC well.

Ordered one of these from Newegg this morning. I'll post my experience with it here sometime next week or something.

Once my card arrives 5 days from now and once I get my pants back on and wipe off the keyboard I plan on doing a review as well.

So forgive me, but what is special about this card? I am in the market for a new card so I am quite curious.

It's the new version of the TFII, the Hawk version features the new TFIII design, essentially better cooling and other things and is also clocked 50mghz more out of the box than the TFII. The TFII was basically the best air cooled 560 you could buy due to quality of parts *military grade*, performance, prince, cooling solution, ease of overclocking.

The Hawk which features the TFIII design features a newly designed custom cooling solution that's even better than the TFII, but, It's apparently louder though according to the 1 person that has it so far in this community.

Along w/what AA said (higher-grade components and better cooling system), I think it has some additional voltage controls, like vram voltage. I know the 460 Hawk did. Bottom-line it should be a screaming overclocker, and be a lot cooler/quieter than reference cards, all else being equal.

Looks like the Twinfrozr III have more space between the fan and the plastic edge.

I have the Twinfrozr II and one fan on the card is deffective or is grinding against the plastic shroud...

Well the GTX 560 alone is better than an AMD 6870 and holds it's own to a AMD 6950.

Secondly, the MSI Hawks are built with very high qaulity capacitors and pcb with exceptional cooling. Highly over clockable, hit 1Ghz on air cooling. Great benchmarks at a very low price.

My 560 Ti Hawk arrived Wednesday, I've been busy enjoying games.

I figured this would interest people, it comes with a serial for Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light. It's redeemable on Steam and MSI's event site.

This seems to be MSI's doing so it's not listed on Newegg as coming with a free gift as it's not a retail disc paired with it, the serial is inside the Hawk's box via a scratch-off card and when redeemed on Steam it said "Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light" promo key.

When the fans hit 50% they do get considerably loud, but it doesn't bother me at all.

The card has 2 DVI connections and 1 mini-HDMI. Even with the HDMI connection being mini, on my case I'm unable to use the supplied mini-HDMI to HDMI connector as it's solid and doesn't have enough room to connect since it hits the side of the case. I'll simply buy a cord version of It since I can't use the solid one.

And as the other person mentioned, you won't have to worry about the fans hitting the card's casing since there's more than enough room now.

I noticed some things in the past 2 days relating to the Hawk + drivers. I talked about it in this thread

I need to write a review on Newegg as well.

Have you cranked up her up in Afterburner yet? I hear these cards can put up some crazy core clocks.
