If from what you are saying is true and your phones have been shut off since 2004 then damn they have been canceled for some time now. BUT if you are talking about that they were recently canceled out(within the past 2 months) then there should be no reason that they had got canceled out. The main thing that happens is that when people can't pay the bill they think the account will just sit there till they feel like paying the amount off and it'll automatically be reconnected. Nope. Unfortunately it isn't, wish I could say that it was but what should have happened is when you initially called in letting them know you couldn't make the payment(if you did), then the representative should've let you know you only have 3(4 months tops) to get it paid off unless you had some type of payment arrangement setup to stop that from happening. Like the guy above me said, good luck, but that is a losing battle you're fighting right there hate to tell you it but just based on the story you told right there, it's not looking in your favor.
Would right now be a bad time to try to get a job with T-Mobile? With the possible looming overhead AT&T merger? Consolidation and redundancy issues?

Or perfect timing with the growing of T-Mobile with their 4G and launching of awesome android phones like Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation, and other phones?

Well nothing has happened as of yet, if anything were to happen you would at least have a year before everything would be finalized and switched over. Sooooo, I guess maybe, if anything I believe everyone might be switched over to ATT customer support in the end. Lol

I can just see in my head, like in Office Space or in the countless movies/office shows, where one country merges with another, and hundreds/thousands of employees, who now used to be working in 2 separate companies, and are now in one, have redundant jobs. There isn't a need to have two of the same thing in the one company, so they start laying off/firing thousands of people at a time to save costs.

I for one hope the deal doesn't go through. Either T-Mobile changes it's mind, or the trade commission red flags it, or something. With the (4G) of HSPA+, possible LTE deployment in the future and the slew of new 4G android phones coming out, T-Mobile is a diamond in the rough. Great customer support, cheap devices/plans. I fear if they're acquired by AT&T everything will slowly go to ****, and rate plans raise. They'll start adding restrictions and locking down devices. Telling you how to use your phone.

I've been with T-Mobile since like 2002.

[QUOTE=Guerrero;13180745]exactly the problem now. They said they have been trying to collect since 2005 so the statute of limitations does not apply here.

The Statue of Limitations doesn't start over from when they try to collect, or keep getting extended as long as they are trying to get paid. It starts from when you last paid. The statue of limitations is how long they have to take you to court from the time you stop paying. That's four years. Don't let them lie to you.
