dont two PCIe connectors come off of the main cables permanantly attached to your PSU? most if not all PSU are that way. Permanant 24pin (MB), 4/8pin(cpu), and 2 6/8 PCIes

check my previous post. I have an HX1000, and it comes with 2 pciE connectors pemanantly attached. I would assume the HX850 is the same. either way, u should be fine to run it that way. They wouldnt make the connector adapter if it wasnt meant to work right?

Yeah, that's why I went ahead and connected it regardless. But my 3dmark vantage benchmark is WAY below where it should be.

Score: http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3097655

Why is this happening? Also, what is this power save mode on the mobo?

Physical / logical processors:1 / 8?

that says 1 physical core and eight logical cores? what??? now look at what it says for your graphics card:

Graphics Card:ATI Radeon HD 5870
# of cards:1
SLI / CrossFire:Off
Memory:0 MB????? what???
Core clock:0 MHz??? again, ridiculous!
Memory clock:0 MHz??? OK... this is getting annoying
Driver name:ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Driver version:8.831.2.0
Driver status:Not FM Approved?? wow! so this is why!

yeah, all in all i would say that is your problem.... fm can not detect your specs!

also....
Module 1
2048 MB PDP Systems DDR3 @ 533 MHz
Module 2
2048 MB PDP Systems DDR3 @ 533 MHz
Module 3
2048 MB PDP Systems DDR3 @ 533 MHz

ddr3 @ 533 instead of 1333??? what is this????

Even if we assume that CPU-Z is reading out the halved data rate instead of the DDR rate for the DDR3, that means his RAM's at 1066 not 1333.

Seeing 1 physical 8 logical makes sense since the i7 9xx have hyperthreading and are quad cores to begin with.

oh... but explain the memory of 0mb, the core clock of 0mhz, and the memory clock of 0mhz on the graphics card.....

oh, and the DDR3 Patriot Viper series does not come in 1066, i don't think

Even if his RAM is DDR3-1600, his motherboard can run them at a slower speed. In fact DDR3-1066 is the default speed of an i7 9xx processor's IMC.

The weird readouts for the GPU suggest a possible borked Windows install.

i7s can sometimes look like their cores aren't all enabled, as well.

OK, well, there you have it.... the reasons why op's score is so low.... i wonder if op is still reading this....
