(HOW TO)how to fix a leaking rad from a screw puncture

before you read this how to
I'm am not responsible for your screw up's that you made or may make

so you may have heard that I WC'ed my 3dfx rig
none the less I puncture my rad with a screw
what happen was,
the screw I hade on my fan was to small to keep the fan on right (rattled)
so I got out a bigger screw, the one I got was to big for the screw hole
so I forced it in to the hole
right
no, I did a
you 'ing at me, right
and ended up puncturing my new rad
so now I'm weighing this "how to" on how I fix my rad

first off you will need
leaking rad
solder
soldering pen/iron ext.
basic soldering skills

step1:leave the water in the system
if you already drained the loop do not fill it back up
why, well cuz draining/refilling it will leek water all over the place, and the water will help from sealing the rad up
step2: stick the solder done the screw like this

step3:solder

step4:leek test and check for pressure build up on the water line

if you are lucky you may not need to buy a new rad
like myself
happy rad fixing
you can also use solder to fix leaks in other parts of a rad

Could also add solder to the hole. Add heat to the screw with a torch or solder gun while tightening the screw. Wait for it to cool pressure test.
