My 3dmark score is nowhere where it should be

I just got a new 5870 eyefinity. I ran a 3dmark11 benchmark on the 1.0.2 build. I ended up getting a score of around 10k, which is WAY below the average of about 17k. What am I doing wrong?

That is normal.

It's kinda pointless to use Trixx if you're in eyefinity.

Download MSI Afterburner and just leave it open while you run the benchmark. Then after the benchmark completes, check the graph to make sure the GPU switched to 850/1200 (assuming you're at stock)

I mean that your CPU is at 2.8ghz. If you were to overclock it to ~4.0ghz then your score would greatly increase because the total score has a lot to do with how fast your CPU is, and not just your GPU.

So I realized the eyefinity 5870 only has two powered hdmi port, I plugged it into one of the four that was not powered. I still don't quite understand what it means to be powered or unpowered. However, after I switched it to the powered port, my score greatly increased, scoring much closer to where I should be in the 17k range. Before I installed my 5870, I uninstalled my current driver. Then after installing the 5870, I installed the latest driver straight from Sapphire. I never installed the CD that came with the 5870 (no disk drive at the moment). Should I still install the amd driver you linked Scope?

Here is my new score: http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3097751

I'd really like to see you score up in the 19k range where the majority of the 5870 users are scoring. Just download the new drivers, their are some new features on them that are pretty nice, and the new UI is pretty nice as well. What is your CPU cooled by, because you really should overclock that up to at least 3.0Ghz.

I'm on water cooling right now, a friend helped me build it. I have yet to figure out how to overclock anything (my friend did it all last time). I remember he said he had overclocked my cpu a little bit. Do I need to uninstall the current driver before I install the new one?

Did vantage tell you that you were running at 8.8? Because that could just be a vantage problem. If your scores increased from upgrading than you are fine.
If you need help overclocking your cpu there are tons of guides and tutorials. I don't really know if I can help you, I have no experience with intel cpus or Evga bios.

Here is a recent benchmark I ran this morning. I still have no idea as to why it shows as my core clock, memory, and memory clock at 0 for my gpu. 14k is still way below where I should be. I am also confused as to why my ram is listed as 533 mHz when it should be at least 1600 mHz. What can I do exactly to solve this problem?

Thank you all for the continued interest. I know it may be frustrating to help a beginner with no sense of direction.

You should still be getting a higher score.

The powered/unpowered port is not relevant.

Your higher score is most likely the result from downloading the latest drivers.

Double Data Rate: 533x2=1066mhz (stock cap for all 930 cpus because of the multiplier)

Since you are at stock, your 1600mhz ram kit is still being bottlenecked to 1066mhz because the stock multipler for RAM is 8 and the stock BCLK is 133 (133x8=1066)

^ I would also guess drivers.
If the GPU was bad it would show other symptoms.

I got sick of playing with drivers and did a fresh OS install then slapped on the latest (drivers) and my Radeons never ran better.

Driver Sweeper?
It will clean out all traces of ATI drivers, at which point you can do a fresh install of 11.3.
