My 3dmark score is nowhere where it should be

I just got a new 5870 eyefinity. I ran a 3dmark11 benchmark on the 1.0.2 build. I ended up getting a score of around 10k, which is WAY below the average of about 17k. What am I doing wrong?

My score: http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3097390

Are you sure your GPU switches to full 3D clocks during the test?

I am a total noob, so please excuse my ignorance. I'm not sure how to check for 3D clocks.

Run Sapphire Trixx and if you can use the Trixx Gadget for Win 7, it's that much easier to watch the clocks

You said you ran 3DMark 11, but you posted a link to 3DMark Vantage. Which one did you actually run?

I'm so lost... I ran the Sapphire Trixx utility, not sure what to make of it. I'm not sure if I should be alarmed, but my GPU voltage meter is not slid at all (all the way to the left), it reads 1175. I ran vantage, sorry for the confusion.

That is normal.

It's kinda pointless to use Trixx if you're in eyefinity.

Download MSI Afterburner and just leave it open while you run the benchmark. Then after the benchmark completes, check the graph to make sure the GPU switched to 850/1200 (assuming you're at stock)

Also keep in mind that Vantage is very CPU dependent, so having your CPU at stock is really hurting your score.

I assume you are talking of the core clocks? If you are, I saw no fluctuation between 850/1200 in the graph after the test was run.

I mean that your CPU is at 2.8ghz. If you were to overclock it to ~4.0ghz then your score would greatly increase because the total score has a lot to do with how fast your CPU is, and not just your GPU.
