So what if it's refurb? It will still cool the same, and it's a great price, especially if you buy multiples, where you will save some shipping costs... I bought three... Never know when you will need it. Great cooler for the money.

Is there any reviews or info about refurb products - how well do they stack up to brand new? This seem like a good deal?

what should I know...?

i almost agree with you. where i differ is that i don't want a heatsink where the contact surface may not be as flat as it should be or the pipes are right or something isn't right.

besides, microcenter has brand new "a" stock of these on sale every few months for the same price as this. i actually need one of these for my quad unlocked x2 555be. the stock cooler can not handle it at full load. but i will wait for microcenter. it is about time for the sale.

if you dont mind lapping it, then the refurb should work as well or better than a new one as long as you properly clean off the old TIM
