Seriously depends on your case airflow, my 6950 unlocked @ 920/1350 doesn't get past 60c at 50% fan speed but I have four fans on the side of my case blowing on it.

I get ~74C on stock fan profile (i.e. 30% max speed) at stock everything. When I turn it up, 950/1350 stock voltage, fan at constant 42% (loudest bearable volume) I get 66-69C depending on whether I'm folding, gaming, or running furmark.
Btw its my sig rig so its an unlocked 6950 2GB reference, with stock clocks at 6950 specs (800/1250).

Hi. I've set a custom profile in Afterburner, which runs the fans at 50 % on full load.

I've hit a max of 68 degrees, in an ambient room temp of 27 degrees. It's not that loud, esp when you put your headphones on.

Nobody can keep it at 42c full load at 1.25v with a stock cooler unless their computer is outdoors in the winter up north... and even then I don't really know how well that would work (total guess, I've only had experience in FL)

I don't have a sapphire, but I've got reference 6950s under water cooling as well, and I rarely see them top 50c unless it's furmark, and that's also missing two damn screws from my heatsink that it didn't come with. My card that has the right screws in the right places never goes over 45c at 900/1375 @ stock voltages.

I'm surprised at the low temps of ref. cards here

I don't have side panels on my case

In BC2 I max at 60C @58% fan with 840/1350

in GTA4 and crysisWH and 947/1520 1.2V and 58%fan, I get into the low 70s

in FO3/NV, F1 2010, FC2 I use 45-50% and kept it ~50-55C

Mine runs at about 50c give or take a few degrees with a custom fan profile running at 60% when gaming. The fan does get a little loud, but it doesn't bother me cause I game with a headset/headphones on.

I never saw temps that low even at stock settings. Bad company 2 I used to get around 60c but at lower fan rates (~27% fan speed auto, 1920x1080, everything on). If I did manual control of the fan speed, I would get 56-57c on GPU and mem @ 45%, which was loud, bordering unbearable even with headphones on.

One thing that is missing from everyone's numbers is room temperature. My room was 26c through my testing.

I could still hear anything over 45% even with headphones on. I just had to make the jump to watercooling... Now my fans only get loud enough to notice when I'm folding on both GPUs and CPU.

Mine hits about 72-74, but thats with furmark, during gaming i've never seen it above 65c, custom fan profile
