Depends on if you needed the performance or not. The 480 is way better than the 560

In reality as long as it stays under 95C-100C you're fine.

If you had a decent overclock on your 560, I would not have upgraded to a 480. The small increase in performance is not worth the significant increase in heat, noise and power consumption in my opinion.

The 400 series runs REALLY EFFING HOT, now you can see firsthand, the 500 series fixed that issue for the most part, and got a lot quieter. But in my opinion the 480 was definitely worth it, it's still a very fast card and will give you a boost over a 560.

At stock, they're like 50-ish at idle and go up to about 87C on furmark or the like (and even higher if OC'd/OV'd ... I've seen them hit 100C with heavy OC/OV's on air ... not safe but I've seen it happen). Games it probably won't go over 85C, low 80's are normal. Use v-sync whenever possible as it really helps w/temps.

And yeah, try to get the voltage as low as possible and still be stable, that's pretty key. Sometimes 'stock VID' is on the high side vs. what's really needed. I got a 480 one time with stock VID of 1050mV, that was stable at stock clocks at 987mV.

BTW, what's your stock VID at?
