you have to wait 24 hours before you can bump your own thread. People will get to it when they can.

i agree.

even if the 480 is going to be overclocked, its not going to out perform the 560ti that much. and when it does, it does it at the cost of more power and heat.

according to dirt 2 benches out in the internet world, my oc'd 560 system edges out a stock 480.

Source? And honestly it's a stock 480. Why would you keep it at stock? Overclock the hell out of that thing the same way you did with your 560.

You should've stayed with the GTX560 and/or gotten another for SLi.

GTX560 = GF110 technology, and runs cooler and more efficient than the GF100 tech of the GTX480

Btw, anyone who buys a GTX480 now for $300 got ripped off because GTX570s perform exactly the same, also costs around $300, and runs cooler/consumes less electricity.

ps no i didnt oc anything i was thinking of under clocking it to see if gpu temps drops
Well 95-100C should be good for that card, of course just set the fan manually to say 75% and the temps should be much better than that. It might be too loud for you though.

The GTX 480 is not a quiet or a cool card. But it has great performance

I disagree. The GTX 480 most likely overclocks better and it also has more RAM

It is very well known the GTX480's run very hot, specifically the ref cards. That is why they never sold well.

Well, they're both more than 1GB of RAM, and the difference is only around 300mb. The GTX480 probably does OC better, but you're gonna get a huge spike in heat and power consumption on top of an already hot and power hungry card...
