Watercooling Dual MSI 6990's: Need Advice - Page 2

Just a heads up, I have serious doubts about a single 360 rad's ability to cool two 6990s. I would think you'd need at least a quad.
Good to know. I thought a tripple would suffice due to there not being a CPU (or anything other than the cards) in the loop.
I have decided to only go with 1 block right now (see how this cools while the other card is shipping), and switch to a MCP655. Changed to a quad rad.

Thanks

You've only got 1 GPU block in your list now FYI.

If you're sticking to one 6990, a triple IS enough for that, and depending on the fans, the CPU, too, if you add that later.

Get the biggest rad you can fit in your case. I'm glad you changed from the GT stealth - that is a poor performing rad and also very thin. Everything else looks fine. Damn those full card blocks for the dual gpu cards are expensive ;o

You also need barbs or compression fittings.

Okay, that's just blatantly false. Check Skinnee's review of this Koolance, which is unnaturally similar to a GT Stealth: http://skinneelabs.com/koolance-cu1020v/4/

(Note that the PA compared to it already does better thermally than Magicool-made rads from EK, XSPC, and Swiftech.)

May want to look at a dual bay res if you have space, that single bay causes a fair amount of air bubbles to pass in the line when I used it. Plus you can mount the pump in the bay as well on a few models.

A RX360 should be enough to cool both with decent fans but a 120.4 is what you may want to aim for.
