Using the Asus bios to OC, Have a question

I just went in for the first time and set the auto OC in the mobo bios. It just does it automatically I guess to set safe setting. It sdid crank it up to 4.4ghz but it still goes into power save mode down to 1.6ghz. I ran benchmark in heaven 11 again and it barely did any better. Only 3 points higher 1079 total. The end result said that the CPU flag was 3.55ghz so does this mean the auto OC is not really working to its fullest? DO I need to set it performance mode instead of normal mode in the bios?

If I'm correct you might have to disable some of the energy features in bios but I would recommend that you set all bios voltages manually. I never use auto oc system always seems to over volt.

Shoot, Well that is not good then. I have no idea how to disable to OC tuner now. It just has ok and cancel. Cancel does nothing and I set Ai overclock tuner to auto since it said it loads the optimal settings for the computer. I am not seeing a revert to default setting anyplace. The manual says nothing about how to revert back to stock speeds, only how to enable oc tuner.
