PC won't boot after OC. Motherboard the cause? - Page 2

That's what I find weird. I don't smell nor did I at the time of the occurance anything smokey. I don't even see any visual damage on the board or any of the components for that matter.

Ive managed to test my RAM & GPU within a friends system & they functioned perfectly. I wasn't able to test my CPU as it is an Intel socket, so I can rule those two out.

Logically, I think the CPU is ok.. for one I don't see anything wrong & I can't smell smoke from it & lastly, when I'd checked the temperature before I rebooted it was below 30c, so heat cannot be the cause.

As for pulling it part? I don't quite understand what you mean... do you mean taking everything out and re attaching? If so, Ive tried this on more than several occassions. Ive even ran a bench test twice.

Ok, installed the motherboard and Ive got more problems.

The motherboard goes past the post screen, it then hits the windows loading bit and just restarts :/. I was told to try and reformat.. I tried that and the power just went out. Ive checked all cables etc over & over and can't find any problem.

What can anyone suggest?

Re install windows, the chances are that Windows won't work due to you getting a new mobo.

So that one License of widows is signed to your other motherboard, so you will need to re install and probably call M$.
