MSI Hawk N460 Frozr II stock cooler vibration noise

So the fans on the video card have no obstruction, but the card vibrates a lot and makes an annoying sound. I stuffed some foam between the heatsink and the card and it helps a little but still makes the sound during certain RPMs. Any ideas?

Secure the card as tight as you can. Ensure the PCI power cables are secure and that nothing is touching the card that shouldn't be. Also, you could try tighting the screws on the back of the video card. Hope this helps.

Ye.
OC your card to some other nonstable speed. 1GHZ OC... yeah right.

Srsly why do u do that...So some random noob gets pissed off when he tries and BSODS?

Other then that secure your mobo. If you're sure there are no obstructions, you're getting into resonance regime. Try screwing/unscrewing. Put somethign heavy on your shroud.

Thanks for the tips. I didnt try to tighten up my motherboard thats a good idea, but a lot of work lol. This card is stable at 1ghz; infact I think its famous for being stable at 1ghz on stock cooling.

I dont want to hear that lol. Takes like two weeks to send and receive a card back. I might just attach a couple case fans to it before I do that lol.

RMA 1GHz 460?

In all honesty, they should send him 480/570 to compensate.

BTW how much +mV you're putting on your HAWK?
