Mediocre computer upgrade

Hi,

I'm upgrading my computer a little bit. I don't want to spend too much on it as I'm getting an M17X for college!

I had an 8600 GT, and I just had to upgrade the gfx card. I got the 440 GT from my local store, which cost me $80 after HST. I was planning to just upgrade the gfx card but now I'm thinking about upgrading the mobo, ram, and cpu. I'm looking to spend a maximum of 400 + ~$70 if I return the current 440GT and exchange for another.

What would you guys get to upgrade this computer to a formidable budget build?

I play CSS, SC2, TF2, Black ops, L4D2. I like to play at 1920x1080 but I don't really mind playing at 720p, unlesss it's SC2, where I'd like to play in semi-high quality.

I'm at ~150-200 fps with 1024x768 in CSS at the moment. However, I'd like to expand my resolution a bit, but I need a constant 150fps+.

Reason for upgrading mobo is it only supports DDR2 ram, (MA78GM-S2H)... and my ram is a G.skill 1gb x2 DDR2 800 PC6400.......

I was looking at a phenom x4 955 and OC it but I'm not too sure. Please help me out here!
I was also looking at a GTX 460 but I've no clue what mem size, and which brand, and what EE and SE is so I kinda half-gave up.

Thanks,

Jess

CSS is more CPU dependant.

However, it will not use a 4 core, so it would be better if you OC that Dual core CPU and change ur graphic card.

What would you change the 440 to?
I use the 955BE 2 stock clocks for gaming. I also use a EVGA GTX460 SSC(facotry overclock) along with 8gb of Gskill ram

My ram
My CPU
My mobo
My GPU

This set up tear's up game's!! i play B:BC2, wow, SC2,Dragon age origins, and lots of other, and it is a great bang for buck performance set up. Although If I could do it all over agin I would get This mobo and SLI the cards as money lets you
Also one kit of the ram is more than enough for gaming...i just like having headroom
