AP-15 or AP-14?

Thread Starter
Hey.

In a few hours, my 7x AP-14s will arrive.

But now I see that they got 100+ AP-15s in stock! I weren't able find any of these when I ordered the AP-14s.
I'm unsure if I should send back the 4x AP-14s that was going to be in push n pull and get them exchanged for Ap-15s (same price anyways)?

Is it worth it? It's the RX240 rad which is supposed to be good with low rpms.

I don't care about noise.

Althought I wont get my new fans for a while then

I don't think your going to need the extra rpm, I've ran just 2 Typhoons at 1000rpm on an RX240 to cool my CPU's and its been adequate.

Hm okay.

Well I don't care about noise ( well I do.. a bit but not much )

Is it 1-3° we're talking, the diffrence between AP-14s and AP-15s when at max?

You're talking about 1450 rmp vs 1850 rpm I believe right?

Well I would say that from 2 - 5c would most likely be the difference and that would be about it. If you could get new fans via exchanging them or some other way that would incur very low cost for getting the 15's I would recommend getting them and putting them on a fan controller so if you needed you could turn them up.

But, that really just depends on your performance needs. If you aren't gaming or folding 24/7 (or doing things that really tax your cpu a lot) then I wouldn't worry about the new fans.

I hope this helped!

I run my GT AP-15's on my 360 rad @ 800RPM. Quiet and still good temps.

Great.

Think I will keep them then, if it's not worth it.

Yeh keep them, AP-14's with your RX series of radiator is good ^_^ the difference wont be that huge anyway if you have the AP-15's, I have ap'15's on my rads, but I lower them down to 800RPM and i never notice a differenc eon temps ^_^
