Anti-Aliasing issues.

Thread Starter

Hi, I have a AMD Radeon HD 6970 MSI Lightning edition. I am using the 11.4 drivers, my CPU is AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t, my power supply is 700w and everything is running at stock clocks and voltages. Whenever I play Battlefield BC2, Medal of Honor, or Homefront with AA enabled I get flashing white circles around edges and in trees. When I play MLB 2K11 or NBa 2K11 with AA enabled I get this.

When I play Sims on max detail the trees look weird. On Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2 Parts of the sky and ground will start blinking and turn black. I tried turning off AA in every game and enabling Morphological Filtering on but it drops my framerate too much. I also have horrible draw distances in all my games especially BC2 and Homefront. Is there anyway I can fix these issues? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

If this is only a recent occurence, it may be drivers.

If this has continuously been happening, it might be your card artefacting.

I tried both 11.4 and 11.3 drivers and both gave the same issue, is there any way i can know for sure its a video card problem?

Maybe try it in a different system, using the same games with problems. That should diagnose whether it's the video card or the games

My friend has a Asus 6970 and he experiences the same issues in MLB and NBA 2K11 but he is using 10.13 drivers, I read about atitool so I installed it and scanned for artifacts and the whole cube turned yellow I'm not sure what that means.

About the trees in the Sims 3, you can fix it by going to CCC/Gaming/3D setting then scroll down to AA Mode, slide it to Multi-Sample AA. My The Sims 3 trees looked weird too but using Multi-Sample AA fixed it.

Thank you, the trees are fixed in Sims 3, 11.6 drivers have fixed the flashing letters in MLB and NBA 2K11, I am still having the issues with MoH and Homefront and I am now getting them in NFSU2 The Witcher 2.
