well the best I can do with the info you provided is...Go to motherboard manufacture (if its on-board LAN) and then find your Mobo on that website and download drivers...
If its an addon card or you are not sure what you have still...
Little trick I have always used
GO to Start
-Right click my computer
-In this new window find the Hardware tab
-Click Device Manager
-Find the Yellow ? icon next to Ethernet adapter
Double click the eth adapter or right click and hit properties to open this window
-In this new window go to Details tab Reference attached picture.
About 90% of the time you can find out exactly what you have by going to www.pcidatabase
Putting the VEN (vendor number in and searching)
Putting the DEV (developer number in and searching)
Then you can goggle your results with "driver" at the end
Example: Broadcom NetXtreme Gigbit Ethernet +driver win xp/vista/7
On windows 7 everything should be auto detected about 90% of the time.Edited by NitroNarcosis - 4/19/11 at 8:10am
