Friends and I have been thinking...

... About getting back into Pokemon Haha

and we're all in agreement that we're going to play against each etc. etc. but we've run into a problem. Some of us have DS' (two lites, one XL, and one 3ds) while others don't (myself included) so we were wondering what route should we take when purchasing a DS?

Should we go with the latest and greatest (And expensive) and buy the 3DS?

Or go on fleabay and grab a few DS lites for cheap as chips?

Do you want to play the Zelda remake? That's the only thing worth getting a 3DS for in my eyes, and it's not even out yet. I'd get the cheapest DS you can find. I've been playing White recently and it's just too easy, I miss the older ones.

Was never a fan of the Zelda and I was given the original on N64 years ago and still got it lying around somewhere So looks like I am buying that pretty neat Bronze DSi XL I saw then

Cheers

EDIT: If anyone has a counter argument please don't hesitate to speak your mind.

You owe it to yourself to do a playthrough of Ocarina of Time. Such a good game.

Best DS version in my opinion is DSi XL then DS lite because of the gba slot. I like the DSi XL because the bigger screen doesnt stress my eyes due to a small screen.

I've owned the 3Ds for a few days and then returned it. I had sold the dsi xl and then bought it back when I saw it on clearance at target for 125 with mario kart

Good to hear an opinion about the 3DS. Yeah I am buying a DSi XL instead I really like the Bronze Texture one I'm about to buy. Plus that 17 hours of battery life is very appealing.

What's age have to do with enjoying a game? My friends and I all recently picked up Black/White. I'm 25 and my oldest friend that picked it up is 27. It's a good battle RPG aside from the weak story. 6v6, with old school memories, my team can beat your team, with nicknames for the picking, can't beat that.
