Of course, how important cutting max load close to max rated capacity is, depends on how you use your machine.
If you don't fold or bench a lot, then having your maximum load at or near the maximum output of a good PSU is fine, since you won't get anywhere near that load in normal use.
I mean, how often do you run something that will stress ALL your GPU and CPU power at the same time? Not often. Most games will manage only half to 3/4 of that loading.
If you fold or have your homepage set to HWBOT, then buy a PSU that most people call overkill, every time. Everyone else can cut it close quite happily.
