Couldn't have said it better.

The wife is going to kill me this year for this.

I am absolutely stoked for battlefield 3.

So tired of the CoD clones that are out it will be a fresh change of pace.

Will probably play this for a long while to come.

Fun game, so far BF3 seems promising. Hopefully the multiplayer does deliver.
Uh...what? The sound engine is one of the best to date in games. Probably not on a Laptop (looking at your sig rig) but definitely on a desktop. Coupled with good physics , destructive environments that add to the gameplay and a variety of weapons? Psh. BC 2 was awesome.

BF3? Gonna be even better.

The networking code is going to have to be impressive to sync everything together.

This BF3.... a multiplayer at heart.
its probably too early to release that info.
its only April and the game comes out in November! i bet in a few months they'll give us some info for MP!
and it will kick COD in the ass.

IF they do not release a beta for PC then you know it is in trouble. That will tell me that they have no confidence in the game that is really intended for the PC, and they are afraid it will get ripped apart by us and just pushed to the side hurting their pre-sales since most like me would end up canceling. I will cancel the pre-order if they do not release or announce a beta by the end of summer. I will take it that is another over hyped, well marketed mess like Black Ops.

I really hope I am wrong though. I hope it is epic.

I haven't given a crap about the boring single player aspect of games since SNES, to me multiplayer is where it's at. I really hope the MP on this game is amazing

apparently you have not been around pc gaming, in the early days, it was standard for pc companies to release a demo or a beta for the game. This was there way of cutting down costs on finding bugs and fixes before release.

Read just a bit above. I've gamed that puppy on a HD555 and later a Polk surround set through an Auzentech Forte and later a 5850. No improvement on sound quality at all. Maybe good audio for a console...bad for the PC.

Unrealistic bass sounds muffle out other sounds. The engine actually puts priority to low bassy sounds over anything else it seems. Helicopters simply mute everything except for the blades themselves and offer no thump. Inside sounds as if you are in a narrow tunnel miles long. No, that is a bad display of the audio performance of BC2. Add effects, but let my ears process the sound please.

I enjoyed the destructible environments, but then newb tubers ruined it. I enjoyed the gameplay until the other team turned into 16 players of snipers. Less tanks, smaller maps, less players, more lag, less vehicles, easier to unlock kits, no mods. No, BF2 offered more.
