[IGN] Getting Ready for Brink

If you're the type of first-person shooter fan who thrives on headshots, sniping and camping, you're probably not going to like Brink. Splash Damage's shooter is all about team play. Expect to get routed if you're trying to do everything by yourself, because in Brink, it's simply not possible.

well pah. Battlefield supports all those play styles, and still requires teamwork to not get rolled by a coordinated enemy.

what now brinky?

i have a feeling that brink will be a hit on the consoles, and PC gamers will mostly skip it.

I believe that one of the most frustrating things in some games are Snipers, Campers and Camping snipers, which Brink is supposed to eliminate, and I personally don't like games where there are 16 players in one team. (More is for me just overkill)

In the end it all comes down to personal preference.

And more players = harder coordtination

camping, and snipers are both valid play styles. Just some games dont give the proper tools to deal with certain styles.

Nope... I'm a hardcore pc gamer, but am definitely looking forward to Brink. I've been playing tons of bfbc2, and absolutely love the game, but I think it's time to return to Enemy Territory style gameplay for a while. Although BFBC2 did an amazing job promoting team work with such big maps... Anyway, if it's anything like splash damage says and a modern version of Enemy Territory, this game is gonna kick butt.

How many players does this game have?

Duno if i should buy, It looks great but if its less than 32 players ouch, and if the maps are MASSIVE another ouch, Hope they be something like homefront size

Plus personally i love ETQW but no one plays it anymore so this may flop too :/

Which version of enemy territory?

Return to Castle wolfenstein ET?

If so sign me up ASAP.

I think i spent more hours on RTCW and ET than any other game ever.

Hopefully this will be a fast based game in the vein of ET/Q3. I'm getting really tired of there being a lack of games that require actual coordination and fast reflexes as opposed to hiding behind a crate or a boulder all game waiting for the enemy to run by
