I heard this is more along the lines of Borderlands. Even then I've been looking forward to this game.

Yes cause the PC space is comprised of super-l33t gamers w/precision accuracy looking to vaunt their physical and intellectual prowess over those casual & petty console gamers.

I have high hopes for Brink as well. The lack of any solid info especially regarding the PC version is admittedly unnerving though. I honestly haven't been looking forward to a game this much since Borderlands, which admittedly didn't turn out all that great. Wasn't horrible, but was pretty far from what I was hoping. At least Brink isn't using Gamespy though.

which is it?
It's a higher TTK, there are no OHK weapons, no snipers. The only thing comparable to a sniper are the big single shot rifles with scopes.

More shots to kill? So your telling me that a game where ill shoot someone in the head 2 times and they still live and turn around and kill me is fun? Ha..your a funny man, go play some real fps.

Yeah, real fps? Really? I love all the games you just listed, but to be honest after playing counter strike my entire life and actually learning how to AIM and Snipe, those games are easy as cake. Any of those i can walk in to, rape and get bored of because even the best of those players, if all they do is play that game, won't ever be able to compete with someone who actually knows how to aim. Those are all run around and shoot for ages with health on every corner games. Its fast paced and fun as hell, and they are amazing games, YES, but those are REAL FPS? hell no.
Low TTK games such as CoD, Battlefield are nothing but twitch shooters. Whoever sees somebody else first win is funny. With a higher TTK FPS, you actually have to, wait for it....wait for it....AIM FOR MORE THAN 2 SECONDS . I know, your mind is officially blown now, I'll give you time to clean the mess. If you shoot somebody in the head 2 times and they are able to turn around and kill you, pretty sure that means they are better than you at aiming since you have advantage of the element of surprise, more health, and already aimed.

i consistantly kill people who get the jump on me in bad company 2. No trouble here on turning the tables on someone who gets the jump on me.

I guess that just means those bc2 requires a higher skill level. As apparently you lack the skills required to turn the tables on your enemy, and need a game that has a much higher level of survivibility.

What exactly is a big 1 shot rifle with a scope if not a sniper?

That sounds like built in player compensation for lack of skill. Someone that is shot in the head by a high powered rifle should be downed. The game is giving the player additional health or not making it a insta-kill is purposely trying to even the playing field and give less skilled players a fighting chance i.e. Halo with shields. This approach is not very popular on PC. It's not an accident that military shooters are more popular on PC than fictional shooters, the player is able to down enemies with far less bullets.

PC gamers loath player skill compensation(aim assist, shields, health boost etc.).

I'm super excited for Brink. Pre-ordered for PC on Steam already... A while ago actually... sort of a cult following so far, but lots of interest if you check out the brink forum.
