PC gamers loath player skill compensation(aim assist, shields, health boost etc.).
on the contrary. battlefield is a PC franchise and has never been 1 shot kill for headshots on anything but the sniper rifles.

Team based games generally take the focus off of headshots in order to provide a more team based focus.

That's why I said high powered rifles, recently only Crysis 2 have one shot kills with submachine guns which is ridiculous IMO. Since the team can't advance past certain points without teamwork, I can see certain people screwing around not completing objectives. It has to be a balance between team and frags, to heavy on either side defeats the purpose. Brink sounds team heavy, only specific classes can complete different objectives. Atleast in TF2 a few players can still Rambo their way through if the team isn't carrying their weight.

I can see a situation where a player spots another player close to completing an objective, just before the player is finished, the other player shoots them with the high powered rife in the head but the opposing player still completes the task or runs away. Much different from BC2 when someone is at the mcom and is sniped dead just before it's armed.

I don't think people we have fun just doing team activities, TF2 has already taken that crown, no need to duplicate it again ion another title. I can see certain people screwing around and not being able to complete objectives, it has to be a balance between team and frags, to heavy on either side defeats the purpose. Brink sounds too team heavy.
everyone is looking for something different. to team heavy for you, is just the right amount of teamwork for someone else.

I'm all for requiring teamwork.

I guess that just means those bc2 requires a higher skill level. As apparently you lack the skills required to turn the tables on your enemy, and need a game that has a much higher level of survivibility.

What exactly is a big 1 shot rifle with a scope if not a sniper?
Then those are the worst players in the world. If you can't kill somebody when you have the jump on such a low TTK game, I feel sorry for that person. Low TTK is nothing but twitch shooting, you aim for hardly 2 seconds, in a higher TTK game you have to actually aim longer and whoever has better overall aim will win. I said a big rifle with a scope that ISN'T OHK, I'm not 100% sure on how the strongest weapon goes, but there is no way to OHK.

Yeah because 2 seconds of spray and praying vs 6 seconds of aiming, 2 seconds of spray and pray obviously require more skill. Why should they be downed? This is a game, not real life. This isn't as high of a TTK as halo, you'll be able to kill in 1 clip easily, you just have to make sure you hit half of your shots at least. No, it's because CoD is overly hyped due to it's past success and it's hosting company. All the big names hardly focus on the PC, and are all about xbox 360. I'm talked to a lot of the kids at my school, and none of them heard about Brink and pretty much all of them said it sounds awesome when I explained it to them. The reason for that is because it is much easier to just spray and pray, making it more popular for casual gamers. There is no skill compensation in Brink, so I have no idea what you're talking about. There is no aim assist, shields, and the only health boost is a small one from medics. The TTK is for example a SMG will kill in about 7-9 shots. A game like CoD takes much less than that.

bad company 2 weapons take anywhere from 3-12 bullets to kill depending on range, damage, and gun being used.

SMGs in bc2 take anywhere from 4 if you have magnum ammo, to 12 if they are using an pp2000 against body armor.

I must've had an OP starter AR than on that game, I always managed to kill in very little amount of shots.
