Yeah..that would work in the corporate world..real good. I assume you never ranked at a managerial level

I strongly suggest you to look up the word contract. If a supplier cannot meet the buyer's contracted amount of supplies, then the supplier is liable to damages to the buyer. If you still don't get it. It means the supplier needs to pay for the damages. You think Samsung won't be hurt if Apple don't buy from them anymore, sigh...Apple is Samsung's #1 display buyer

Here's a article from Korea about the reasons why Apple filed the lawsuit. http://joongangdaily.joins.com/article/view.asp?aid=2935131

An analyst stated one of the many reasons Apple's suing Samsung is to intimidate them to get cheaper prices on future components. Because of the earthquake in Japan Nand and DRAM prices have gone up.

I can see how it makes sense.
The galaxy S was shown after apple had the spotlights on how the iphone4 looked like. Apple shouldve gone after Samsung then, but I guess they were still buddy buddy. So I am thinking something went wrong between them, probably price disputes.

but everything is speculations unless you are the one involved.

Wrong. Apple doesn't guy its components at spot market. They've made long term contracts, some are even one - two year ahead.

Uncredible link BTW

Great quarter announced today, made same good cash trading it.

Joongang daily is one of Korea's largest and respected newspapers. Their English edition is published in association with the International Herald Tribune(New York Times).

Also no one really knows why Apple is suing Samsung. The article stated various reasons why Apple might sue. It didn't say that the price of components was the main reason. It stated the main reason was to counter the increased competition from Samsung. But know one really knows why its all speculation at this point. We all know its common practice for companies to sue their competitors. It wouldn't be business if they didn't.

Thing is apple buys their components below the spot price because economy of scale and long term contracts so that alone debunked their point. And I admit I did not read through that article, but I am too happy and celebrating since I made a lot of money this week. Be back soon.
